The Cook Islands National Environment Service recognises the importance of the environment to the people of the Cook Islands. Our cultural identity is deeply rooted in our environment and it is a part of our heritage and legacy that must be passed on to future generations of Cook Islanders. As caretakers of the land, we must take pride in its natural beauty and it is critical to ensure that we work now to protect and conserve this precious resource. This dataset contains reports from several workshops held in the Cook Islands as part of the National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAP) process. The NBSAP workshops involved engaging stakeholders from across government, communities, NGOs, and the private sector to assess biodiversity priorities, identify conservation actions, and support the development and implementation of national biodiversity strategies. The reports document discussions, outcomes, stakeholder inputs, and recommendations from these workshops, offering valuable insights into national biodiversity planning and policy-making.
